Lax-a Nema is an effective solution for the relief of occasional constipation. It provides immediate relief in the form of a single-dose enema that triggers a rapid bowel movement. The hand-size, disposable, squeeze bottle comes with a prelubricated rectal tip, making it ready to use right out of the box.
The active ingredients in Lax-a Nema are Monobasic sodium phosphate 16 g and dibasic sodium phosphate 6 g, which help to stimulate bowel movements. It also contains non-medicinal ingredients like benzalkonium chloride, disodium EDTA, and purified water.
It is important to note that Lax-a Nema should not be used in the presence of abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting, cardiac disease, severe dehydration or debility. Frequent or prolonged use of enemas may result in dependence for bowel function. Therefore, it should be used only when needed or when prescribed by a physician. Elderly persons are more sensitive to the effects of enemas and are more likely to show signs of weakness, increased sweating, and convulsions.
Directions of Use:
Lax-a Nema is easy to use. Simply remove the protective cap and insert the prelubricated rectal tip into the rectum. Squeeze the bottle to release the enema solution. Retain the enema for 5 to 10 minutes or as directed by a physician.
