Instructions:
To use the Laura Mercier Eye Colour Brush, first, cleanse it as needed with Laura’s Brush Cleanser or mild shampoo and warm water. When cleaning, gently squeeze water through the hair, going from base to tip, and rinse thoroughly. Dip or spray the brush in Brush Cleanser and remove makeup with a tissue. Repeat if necessary. Reshape to the original form and allow it to air dry on a flat surface. Do not stand brushes on end to dry.

To pick up and lay down product, press the bristles into the powder to pick it up. Then, press the brush onto the back of your hand to work the powder into the brush. This ensures that the powder is loaded into the bristles and minimizes fallout. Gently tap the brush once on the back of your hand to shake off any excess product. Tap and press the loaded bristle all over the area first. After the product has been placed, blend it in.

For precise and detailed application, hold the brush at the center of the handle or closer to the ferrule. Pinch the brush handle between your thumb and middle finger. For added control, also use your pointer finger with a light touch on the handle. This will act more as a “guide” during application. It should feel like you’re balancing the brush.

To blend and diffuse, hold the brush with a loose grip, close to the end of the handle, and lightly pinch it between your thumb, pointer, and middle finger. This will provide the most “painterly” result.
