Instructions:
To use the Laura Mercier Finishing Brush, first cleanse the brush as needed with Laura’s Brush Cleanser or mild shampoo and warm water. When cleaning the brush, gently squeeze water through the hair, going from base to tip, and rinse thoroughly. Dip or spray the brush in Brush Cleanser and remove makeup with a tissue, repeating if necessary. Reshape the brush to its original form and allow it to air dry on a flat surface.

For precise and detailed application, hold the brush at the center of the handle or closer to the ferrule, pinching the brush handle between your thumb and middle finger. For added control, also use your pointer finger with a light touch on the handle, which will act more as a “guide” during application. It should feel like you’re balancing the brush.

To blend and diffuse, hold the brush with a loose grip, close to the end of the handle, and lightly pinch between your thumb, pointer, and middle finger. This will provide the most “painterly” result.

When picking up product, crème will naturally adhere to synthetic fibers. For best results using any type of pressed powder, press the bristles into the powder to pick it up. Next, press the brush onto the back of your hand to work the powder into the brush, ensuring that the powder is loaded into the bristles and minimizing fallout. Gently tap the brush once on the back of your hand to shake off any excess product. Tap and press the loaded bristle all over the area first. After the product has been placed, then blend.
