Instructions:
To use Laura Mercier Fan Powder Brush, follow these simple steps:
1. Cleanse the brush as needed with Laura’s Brush Cleanser or mild shampoo and warm water.
2. Dip or spray the brush in Brush Cleanser and remove makeup with a tissue.
3. Reshape the brush to its original form.
4. To protect your brush fibers, pick up product and cleanse in the direction of the hair; never “swirl” or harshly rub brushes on any surface.
5. Shape and allow to air dry on a flat surface. Do not stand brushes on end to dry.
6. When traveling, carry brushes separately from other makeup to protect the bristles from bending and fraying.
7. For best results using any type of pressed powder, press bristles into powder to pick up the powder.
8. Next, press the brush onto the back of your hand to work the powder into the brush.
9. Gently tap the brush once on the back of your hand to shake off any excess product.
10. Tap and press the loaded bristle all over the area first.
11. After the product has been placed, then blend.

For precise and detailed application, hold the brush at the center of the handle or closer to the ferrule. Pinch the brush handle between your thumb and middle finger. For added control, also use your pointer finger with a light touch on the handle, this will act more as a “guide” during application. It should feel like you’re balancing the brush.

To blend and diffuse, hold the brush with a loose grip, close to the end of the handle, and lightly pinch between your thumb, pointer, and middle finger. This will provide the most “painterly” result.
